HISTORY OF THE STONE:
• The word Lazurio comes from the Persian word "Lazward" (= blue) or from the Arabic "Azul" which means blue, while the word Lapis comes from "Lapis", meaning stone.
• Theophrastus refers to him as "sapphire" and "blue"
